After school (parents absent children) Care Program

Neyagawa Municipal Board of Education (Neyagawa-shi Kyoiku Iinkai) established the after school care program so that the children in the lower grade of elementary schools (1st to 3rd grades), whose parents (guardians) are away from home and unable to take care of them when school is over, are taken well care of the specialized instructors at the independent facility in the school. The program aims to have children learn self-initiative and independence for their sound growth through group activities as well as to avoid any involvement in unexpected accidents.

◎Children to be cared

1st to 3rd grade elementary school children who reside in Neyagawa City and need day care and fostering after school as well as on the days when their school is closed

◎The eligible

  1. Children who cannot be taken care of at home after school because both parents are working and have someone (any of parents or guardian, or who can be responsible) to come to pick them up
  2. Children who need parental care for 15 days and more per month consecutively all through the year
  3. Children who are admitted for enrollment by the Municipal Board of Education

* Each after school care program group is settled on the premises of each elementary school listed above.
The lower grade students have higher priority for joining the program. Applicants after reaching the limit capacity are to be listed to wait for vacancy.

◎Procedure for application

Place for application
Each after school care program group to which you want to apply (Application shall be made by the parent/guardian)

In case that the parent/guardian is working.
•Certificate of employment
•Declaration of self-owned business
•Declaration of side job
Each form is available at each after school care program group or Social Education Division.
In case that the parent/guardian is attending school.
•School registration certificate
Have the certificate issued at school.
In case that the parent/guardian has a disease etc.
•Doctor’s certificate
Have the certificate issued at the hospital etc.

◎Application at the beginning of the fiscal year

  1. Distribution of application form for admission:
    At each after school care program group starting from December (except for the day when the group is in recess), from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  2. Time for application:
    Accepted at the beginning of January all together (except for the day when the group is in recess), from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  3. Place of application
    Each after school care program group to which you want to apply

After the regular application above, other applications will be accepted at any time from the beginning of March.
