Individuals who have difficulty in paying tax due to certain circumstances including severe property damage sustained from an unforeseen event, may be entitled to reduction or exemption of municipal tax and prefectural tax, according to specified requirements. Those who wish to enjoy such reduction or exemption must apply seven days prior to due date of tax payment.
