Application Procedure for Funeral Ceremony and Funeral Hall for the Neyagawa Citizens

The municipality has established Funeral Service system for the Neyagawa Citizens since April 1, 2006.

Description of the Funeral Service for the Citizens
In funeral Service for the citizens, the municipality prescribes standards for funeral service and fee. Along with the prescriptions, a funeral ceremony is conducted between the funeral company designated by the municipality and the users.
The principle of the funeral service is to clearly articulate charges beforehand  for each basic service plan and optional item so that user can perform  a funeral rite in peace with reasonable standard price offered by the designated funeral company..
The eligible
  1. City residents
  2. Relatives who conduct the funeral ceremony for the deceased who had been city residents of  Neyagawa.

〝Citizenship〞is to be  recorded in Basic Resident Register or registered as aliens.

  1. at a home of the users of this system, which is in Neyagawa city or at the deceased person's home in Neyagawa city

  3. Shrine, temple, or church in the city
  4. Facilities inside of Neyagawa city, operated by designated company 
     
  5. Halls managed by Memorial Park: The first Hall & the second Hall

Dates and times available for the funeral service

- Please decide the date for the funeral service and so on after talking to a designated funeral company. In the case where you are using a funeral hall outside of Neyagawa city due to reservation condition of the Neyagawa funeral hall (Neyagawa Saijyo)which you have a difficulty using because of  no availability on the date you are expected to use, please subject to the standard charge for the cremation which is decided by the local government there.

- Depending on availabilities of the first hall (Daiichi-Kaikan) and Neyagawa funeral hall (Neyagawa saijyo), there are possibilities that hours for a funeral are not be subjected to your request.

- If you apply for a funeral after 3:00p.m,  you can not hold a funeral wake on that day as a matter of preparation.

-Neyagawa funeral hall is closed on January 1st so that you can not hold a funeral service on that day.

1 11:00 a.m. - noon the same day
2 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. the same day
3 & 4 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Twice) the following day
 

* The funeral service is not offered in January 1.

Application by telephone is not accepted

 
(2)Application Procedure
  1. Please submit an obituary notice, a death certificate and an application for cremation permit to any counter from No.2 through No.6 of the Citizens' Division, and receive the cremation permit.
  2. Please fill in the necessary items and seal on an application form for the funeral service for the citizens, and submit the form to the counter of No.7 of the Citizens' Division, and apply for the funeral service for the citizens.
  3. The municipality issues the permit to use the funeral service for the citizens.
Fees
The total amount of the following fees will be charged:
  1. Basic fee of each plan
  2. Fees of the selected ones from optional items designated by the municipality
  3. Except for 1 and 2 above, fees of additional options selected after the users consult with the designated agency
Moreover, other additional fees might be necessary (the fee for the use of a Hall and the remuneration given to the people in the religious community, etc), depending on the method of conducting funeral ceremonies.

Procedure from death to putting ashes into urn

flower & altar * Procedure for Funeral Ceremony
  1. Please receive an obituary notice at a medical facility and fill in the necessary items on a death notification form.
  2. Please make an arrangement about the date and time of the funeral ceremony with the relatives and a priest.
  3. Please submit an obituary notice, a death notification and fill in an application form for a cremation permit to submit to any counter from No.2 through No.6 of the Citizens' Division at the municipality.
  4. The cremation permit is issued.
  5. Please fill in the necessary items and seal on an application form for funeral service at the counter to deal with the matters of citizen concerns in the city office. It is unable to select  a designated funeral company at user's option.
  6. The permit to use the funeral service for the citizens is issued.
  7. An arrangement for the funeral ceremony should be made between a user and the designated funeral company .
    A user gives the permit to use the funeral service for the citizens to the designated funeral company, and asks  the funeral company to fill  necessary items in and seal on the form. Please keep the permit with care as it is required for cremation at Neyagawa funeral hall.
  8. Body is placed in coffin.
    Gloves are used occasionally.
  9. Wake is conducted.
    * Directing wake is optional.
  10. Funeral ceremony is conducted.
  11. Body is carried out the coffin.
    * At this point, program execution by the designated agency ends.
  12. Please submit the cremation permit to the Neyagawa funeral hall and show the permit to use the funeral service for the citizens.
  13. Body is cremated. Please put ashes into urn.
  14. Please sign and seal on the permit to use the funeral service for the citizens as the proof to receive cremated bones( it is not necessary when the funeral hall is outside of  Neyagawa city) , and submit the cremation permit to the hall. The cremation permit, which proves cremation is done, is given and should be kept with care since it is necessary on placing the bones and ashes into the ossuary
